PREPARATION
- Evaluate your carrier and requirements prior to moving.
- Allow potential long distance carriers to make recommendations when you consider your phone equipment requirements.
- If your domestic long distance usage is over $4,000 per month, consider Dedicated Access service.
- If you have a private line for data communications with the local phonecompany, consider Dedicated Access service for both voice and data lines.
- Have copies of a recent monthly long distance bill available for each carrier to review.
CHOOSING A VENDOR
- Be as detailed as possible in how you would like thepropsals presented.
- Get references of similar firms.
- Allow 2 weeks to receive proposals.
- Consider using two different carriers during a trial period.
- Even if you do not plan to change your long distance carrier, review your service with a sales rep.
